Tori Dauvin

Tori was a research assistant working with Emily Hein from Summer 2022 to 2025. She investigated the role of histamine in the biology of Acinetobacter baumannii. She is currently a medical student at USask.

Postdoctoral fellow

Dinesh Wellawa, PhD

Dinesh was a postdoctoral fellow in the Sheldon Lab from 2022-2023. He investigated the role of histamine in Acinetobacter baumannii iron acquisition, and lactate in bacterial pathogenesis. He is an author on a Cell Host & Microbe paper for his efforts on the latter (PMID: 40020664). He is currently a postdoc with Dr. Wolfgang Koester at VIDO.

HBSc and biomed summer project student

Christine Joyce Francisco

Christine was a 4th-year project student, research assistant, and 2 x Biomed Summer Research Project Awardee. She investigated iron acquisition and homeostasis in both Acinetobacter baumannii and Morganella morganii. She recently joined the lab of Dr. Richard Hamelin at UBC for her MSc.
